its hot...

Its hot in my apartment, so hot that it is like tropical weather (though i have never been to the tropics). It is a surreal experience, having the extreme hot inside, and the extreme cold just outside the door.

So now the pulford street improv palace takes a holiday break. the next shows start in the new year (season 2006). However, you do have the Gas Station Theatre "village christmas" to look forward to...
-free coffe and hot chocolate (maybe even with some hot chocolate drinking contests)
-a christmas village recreated
-cartoons playing in the theatre on the big screen
-adult type drinks in the evening
-outdoor choir

no show

December 29th was going to be a CRUMBS show at the Gas Station Theatre. It is going to be a show no longer. We have "Breadstoned" it, meaning we have decided to not do a show. Part of the reason is that our name is everywhere lately with the weekly shows we are doing at Pulford.

Sooooooooo

go see our weekly shows at pulford every saturday night at 10pm...

weekly weekly weekly

Perhaps i have not been clear.

Every single Saturday night at 10pm you can see CRUMBS do their/our thing. What is our thing? Our thing is an improv show that beats all (as in "don't that beat all?"). Wait, maybe i am not being clear again. Here, I will make things clear. We (CRUMBS) do an improv show that is like an improvised play. It is funny, it is sad, it is weird, it is absurd, it is serious, it is funny again. Lee White and Stephen Sim are the two actor type guys who make up the characters and the stories. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have Craig Bjerring play music during the show. The show rocks.

So every single Saturday night at 10pm we do a show. The show is at the PULFORD STREET IMPROV PALACE, which is at 109 Pulford Street, which is in the church across the street from the Gas Station Theatre (284-9477). The IMPROV PALACE is on the second floor, use the side door.

There are other shows happening in this space as well...

1- Saturdays at 8pm there is a show sponsored by the MANITOBA IMPROV LEAGUE. This show is a drop-in improv jam show for high school improv types and those who once were high school improv types. The second half of this show will always feature a new toupe.

2- Fridays at midnight there is an improv show that highlights the wicked awesome improv that goes on in this town. Each week a different troupe is featured. Could be the awesomeness of OUTSIDE JOKE, it could be the smooth zanyness of THE JIST, it could even be the howlingly hilarious antics of ALWAYS GEORGE. It could even be someone else...

These shows cast only $4.99

These shows are in Winnipeg if y'all happen to be reading this in the land of internet and don't know what i am talking about. Winnipeg is in Manitoba, Manitoba is in Canada, Canada is in the United States (not really, but damn close).

Soooooo, i guess i will see y'all there!

the pulford street improv palace

The Pulford Street Improv Palace is the new improv venue in town (that i have mentioned a number of times). It is inside a church, but the room isn't really churchy (whatever "churchy" means). The room has been painted all theatresque (with black) and a stage has been built. There also are lights in the room as well, to add to the theatre-like conditions. The seats are actually kind of comfy, the ceiling is quite high and the room is warm and receptive to awesome performances. It is situated at 109 Pulford (which is across the street from the Gas Station Theatre, in the church, in the side door and on the second floor).

Why am i once again going on and on about this space?

Because i think it is a great place to see and do a show. Because it needs asses in the seats. Because people need to know about it. Because i do shows there. Check it out.

Thank you...
